pieces. I have gotten under my car in a pit with a mechanics stethescope and tried to sort this out the best I could. I presently have Dupree split DP's, Jet Hot coated; Dupree mid-pipes with high flow cats; and JWT/Genie cat back with resonated H-pipe and oval tips. The car sounds great. There is still a hint of raspiness that is coming from, IMHO, the H- pipe itself. On deceleration there is a raspy scavenge flow across the H connection. This makes sense because the direction of the exhaust flow is at a right angle to the cross piece. This is one reason why I believe X-pipes are superior to H-pipes. With X-pipes, the natural direction of the flow of the exhaust is what equalizes the pressures between the two sides, and not a "bridge" piece of pipe stuck on at a right angle. I will be switching to a resonated X-pipe, MS manifolds if and when they come to market, and super-split DP's, soon.
